Helen has been fascinated by movement of the human body from a young age. In pursuit of this curiosity, Helen completed a Bachelor of Science, Honours Kinesiology degree, followed by a Master’s Degree in Clinical Human Anatomy. Wanting to apply this knowledge in a way that allowed her to help people, Helen then completed her Master of Physical Therapy degree.
Helen has diverse experience within the physiotherapy profession. She taught in the physiotherapy program at The University of British Columbia for over 5 years and has worked in private clinics throughout the Sea to Sky Corridor and the Squamish and Lions Gate Hospitals.
Helen enjoys treating individuals of all backgrounds, ages and injuries. She personalizes treatment for each client, drawing on her diverse experience, strong anatomical training and extensive continuing education. She blends client education, manual therapy and exercise, while constantly referencing evidence informed practice, to help her clients achieve their goals. Helen has completed continuing education courses in assessment and treatment of spinal, upper and lower limb injuries, stroke and neurological rehabilitation, concussion & vestibular rehabilitation, AN-IMS (dry needling), and many more. She finds particular enjoyment in helping people function at their best while recovering from injury.
As a lover of all things outdoorsy, when not in the clinic, Helen can be found recreating outside on her mountain bike or skis, trail running, or on the water. She gives back to the community by volunteering her time with the marine search and rescue unit in Squamish.
